Kibra: a neighbourhood guide

Kibra sub-county covers Laini Saba, Lindi, Makina, Woodley/Kenyatta Golf Course and Sarang'ombe, with Olympic, Soweto East, Kianda, Silanga and Raila among its villages. It is home to a huge, close-knit community and a lively culture of local business, sport and art.

Markets and trade

Toi Market is one of Nairobi's best-known markets for clothes, shoes and household goods. Kibera Town Centre is a hub for local services.

Learning

The KNLS Kibera Library is a public library and study space for the community.

Community

Kibra has many youth groups, sports teams, artists and community organisations. If you are part of one, introduce it in the Kibra community - we would love to feature it.
