Kasarani: a neighbourhood guide

Kasarani sub-county covers Clay City, Mwiki, Kasarani, Njiru and Ruai, with estates such as Sunton, Hunters, Seasons and Kwa Maji. It is one of the fastest-growing parts of the city, stretching from Thika Road east towards Ruai.

Sport and big events

The Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani is Kenya's main national stadium complex - the stadium, an indoor arena and an aquatics centre. It hosts football internationals, athletics meetings and concerts, so check the events calendar before you travel on match days.

Living here

Much of Kasarani is residential, and newer estates keep going up towards Njiru and Ruai. Roads, water and transport links come up a lot - the community is the place to compare notes.
