Official documents take precedence. NairobiCity is an independent information service, not the procuring entity or a government body. This summary was prepared from the official documents with AI assistance; every requirement was matched to the document wording, but it can still contain mistakes. Before you apply, read the official tender documents and any addenda.
What is being bought
Legally constituted consulting firms are invited to express interest in a 120-day consultancy to undertake baseline studies on deforestation, wetlands, riparian ecosystems and groundwater potential under the Integrated Natural Resources Management Programme (INReMP). The work includes baseline assessments, geospatial analysis, field verification, a spatial database and a natural resources monitoring framework across ten counties in the Cherangany Hills and Mau West water towers. Reference KEN-2000003938-0011-CS-QCBS; the procuring entity is INReMP, Eldoret.
What could disqualify you
- A firm with an actual, potential or reasonably perceived conflict of interest is disqualified unless IFAD explicitly approves otherwise. A firm is also in conflict if it takes part in more than one EOI under this procurement. D2 p.3
- Late EOIs are rejected and returned unopened. EOIs received after the deadline shall be rejected. D2 p.6
- Current employees of the client or its board may not be proposed or work for any consultant. Government employees may only be proposed with written certification of leave without pay or resignation/retirement by contract award. Standard rule D1 p.3
- The EOI is evaluated against Preliminary Mandatory Requirements (tax compliance certificate, registration, trading licence, CR12 with director IDs, and signed forms EOI-1, EOI-2 and EOI-3). Missing any of these at the preliminary stage risks rejection. D2 p.27
