Fuel prices remain unchanged as EPRA retains pump rates for another month
Several protesters have been arrested as police engaged demonstrators in running battles in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) on Monday during protests against rising fuel prices and the growing cost of living.
Despite the heavy deployment of police across the city, groups of demonstrators gathered along various streets, including Moi Avenue and Kimathi Street, carrying banners and placards bearing messages such as “Remove taxes on fuel” and “Wakenya wako njaa”.
One of the protesters called for fuel subsidies while criticising President William Ruto over the rising cost of living.
