KPLC announces power outages in parts of Nairobi, 4 other counties on Sunday, October 25

Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced planned power outages in parts of Nairobi, Machakos, Kisumu, Kiambu and Kilifi counties on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power interruptions in parts of five counties on Sunday, October 25, as the utility undertakes scheduled maintenance.

The outages will affect areas in Nairobi, Machakos, Kisumu, Kiambu and Kilifi counties, with some locations expected to experience electricity interruptions for up to 10 hours.

According to a notice issued by Kenya Power, the maintenance will begin at different times depending on the affected area, with most of the interruptions scheduled between morning and late afternoon.

In Nairobi County, the planned maintenance will affect parts of Komarock and Kayole, as well as Joska, Ruai and North Impact.
