Prof Ndetei throws Rose Mbithe under the bus in emotional court testimony

Professor David Ndetei took the witness stand at a Nairobi court on Wednesday, October 21, and stood firmly behind an affidavit he had filed against Rose Mbithe.

Mbithe had petitioned the court to summon Ndetei for cross-examination after her legal team alleged the affidavit, which he had filed opposing bail for her and her children, was a forgery, and raised questions about his mental capacity and health at the time it was drafted.

Prosecutor JV Owiti walked Ndetei through the affidavit paragraph by paragraph. In paragraph 7, Ndetei had stated that the accused persons knew his family, extended relatives, in-laws, home, workplace, colleagues and the places he frequented. When asked if those were his words, he confirmed they were.
