Geoffrey Mosiria, the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement, and Customer Service, was dismissed from his role on Wednesday, October 21.

His dismissal came a few days after announcing he would challenge his boss, Governor Johnson Sakaja, for the Nairobi governorship in the 2027 General Election.

The decision was communicated through Nairobi County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Machel Waikenda, who named Zipporah Mwangi as acting replacement.

Mosiria had made his gubernatorial ambitions public on October 11 during a visit by Jubilee leaders to Bishop Margaret Wanjiru's Jesus Is Alive Ministries Church in Nairobi.
