A Nairobi woman known as Nimoo was left standing alone at the airport for nearly seven hours after her long-distance boyfriend, whom she had met online, failed to board his flight or respond to her calls.

Nimoo arrived at the airport around 5 pm, bouquet in hand, fully expecting to meet the man she had been speaking to online finally.

The two had kept in close contact throughout the day, and he had even told her he was about to step off the plane that afternoon.

By midnight, there was no sign of him. His phone was switched off and completely unreachable. A visibly distraught Nimoo recorded a TikTok video at the scene, her flowers long past their bloom, to speak directly to the man who had left her waiting.
