Mama Lucy Hospital Launches Probe After Maternal Death

Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital has launched an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a mother who was receiving healthcare services at the facility.

In a statement on Sunday, October 18, the hospital management confirmed the death, expressing condolences to the bereaved family and acknowledging the impact of the loss on the family and the wider community.

"We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family during this difficult time. We recognize the profound loss that the death of a mother represents to her family, loved ones, and the wider community," the statement read.

Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital noted that maternal deaths remained a serious concern and reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to patients.

"Every maternal death is a matter of grave concern to the hospital. We wish to reaffirm our commitment to providing safe, timely, respectful, and quality healthcare to every patient entrusted to our care," the statement added.
