Getting to know Man Utd boss Olid

Ιστορίες

It has been a whirlwind 10 weeks for Eva Olid since she became manager of Manchester United.

Her surprise appointment at the start of August after Marc Skinner's departure meant she joined one of the biggest clubs in England just a month before the Women's Super League season started.

When we meet in a Manchester coffee shop - an unlikely setting for someone who doesn't drink coffee - it is her first real pause in a schedule that has left her with little chance to discover the city she now calls home.

"It's been good but really busy," Olid tells BBC Sport. "It's just been work, home, work, home."

Olid, 41, enjoyed exceptional success in her previous role at Hearts - taking them from bottom of the table to Scottish Premier League champions within five years.

Despite that, she was relatively unheard of south of the border, so top of her to-do list when she arrived at the team's training base at Carrington was to explain to her players what she was all about.
