Nairobi - Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a planned maintenance exercise that will cut electricity supply to parts of ten counties on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The utility firm issued a public notice invoking Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules, which permits the interruption of electricity supply to facilitate scheduled maintenance, network upgrades, new customer connections, and power line replacement during road construction works.
Among the counties listed in the notice are Nairobi, Kiambu, and Nyeri, alongside seven other counties where specific localities will experience the outage.
