United Democratic Alliance (UDA) diaspora coordinator Betwel Manga has called for constitutional and legal reforms to create a Diaspora County 48, a framework designed to give Kenyans living abroad direct seats in both the National Assembly and the Senate.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Manga outlined the proposal as a necessary step towards recognising that the diaspora community is far more than a source of foreign exchange, arguing that Kenyans abroad deserve a formal say in decisions that shape their country's direction.
