Cardiff City full-back Calum Scanlon says the Championship club's style of play is "very similar" to that of his parent club Liverpool.

The 21-year-old is back with the Bluebirds for a second loan spell, having also been at the club for the final four months of last season.

After returning to full fitness over the summer, Scanlon has been more involved this campaign, featuring in all-but-one of Cardiff's Championship games to date.

Scanlon says he was "buzzing" to secure another loan move to the Welsh capital, and is eager to improve with the club returning from the extended international break on Saturday away at Blackburn Rovers.

"Last season was a bit different to where I'm at now, I'm in a much better place physically," said Scanlon.
