Civil society groups have staged a demonstration outside the Ministry of Environment in Nairobi, calling for an end to deforestation and stronger protection of Kenya’s forests.

Some of the placards read, “Hands off Karura Forest” and “KFS: Forest Protection, Not Destruction.”
