Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has given President William Ruto a 14-day ultimatum to disclose the Dangote oil refinery Lamu agreement.

Speaking on Monday, October 5, the People Party leader said Kenyans are entitled to access information on the project.

The Kiharu lawmaker threatened to release the agreement if President Ruto fails to make it public within 14 days.

“I want to tell William Ruto it is not a privilege Kenyans are asking for. You have to produce the register of Dangote Refinery shareholders, and you also have to give us the investment agreement.

“I am giving you 14 days, William Ruto. If you do not release the Dangote agreement, I will release it myself so that Kenyans can see it,” said Ndindi Nyoro.

This comes a day after Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna issued demands to the Senate Committee on Energy over the construction of the Dangote oil refinery.

In a statement dated Friday, October 2, Sifuna said the details of the refinery should be made available to the public before the project begins.
