Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mutahi Kagwe has called on stakeholders to back young Kenyan enterprises, singling out digital and marketing firm Wave 360 Africa as an example of homegrown innovation driving the country's creative economy.

Kagwe made the remarks during the official opening of the 2026 Nairobi International Trade Fair on September 30, at Jamhuri Showground.

The annual exhibition, which runs from September 28 to October 4, has drawn exhibitors from agriculture, manufacturing, technology, education, financial services and other sectors.

Addressing attendees, the Cabinet Secretary pointed to Wave 360 Africa as a model for what Kenyan creativity and technology can achieve when properly channelled.
