I will not let you down - Sifuna vows as he is crowned The Equitable Party leader

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and the newly appointed leader of The Equitable Party (TEP) has vowed to remain an astute leader as he gears to contest in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking at the launch of the party on Sunday, Sifuna vowed that he will steer the party with integrity and political decorum.

"I want to assure you that I will not let you down," he said.

The presidential hopeful said that the party will prioritize change and people-centered leadership, a policy he believes will be the antidote to Kenya's political ills.

"We believe in equal opportunities for everyone in this nation. We will listen before we speak, consult before we decide and explain policies and account all our actions," Sifuna stated.

"I have no capacity on my own to create a movement, it belongs to all of you who have chosen the path of change."
