Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have dismantled a suspected counterfeit currency ring operating out of a warehouse behind Vision Plaza in Nairobi's Industrial Area, arresting 14 people.

The October 1, 2026, raid followed a complaint lodged at JKIA Police Station by a US national identified as Alkhalifi Ibrahim Hassan.

According to the DCI's statement, the suspects include nationals from Nigeria, Cameroon, and Sudan, alongside several Kenyan citizens.
