Details Emerge as Ruto Ally Wicknell Chivayo Dies in Helicopter Crash

Chivayo has been a constant feature at State House, Nairobi, with the businessman keeping a burging bromance with President Ruto.

Popular Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke, are among six people who died after a helicopter they were travelling in crashed in Marondera, Zimbabwe, on Wednesday, September 30.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed that an aircraft carrying six occupants crashed in the Marondera Rural area at around 5pm on Wednesday. Police said more details would be released as emergency teams attended the crash scene.

Zimbabwean authorities later confirmed that there were no survivors, while Chivayo’s family confirmed that the businessman and his wife were among those who died in the accident.
