More than 20 ODM MCAs have endorsed George Aladwa for Nairobi governor in 2027, putting fresh pressure on the party’s broad-based deal with UDA over the seat.

Nairobi - More than 20 Orange Democratic Movement members of the County Assembly have thrown their weight behind Makadara MP George Aladwa, endorsing him as their preferred candidate for the Nairobi governorship ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The MCAs, led by Baba Dogo Ward representative Geoffrey Majiwa, made the unanimous declaration public, stating that Aladwa had personally reached out to them for support, something they said no other aspirant in the race had done.
