Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned electricity interruptions across eight counties scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with some areas facing outages of up to eight hours.

The notice was published on KPLC's website, giving customers and businesses hours to prepare for the disruptions, which are set to commence at 8.30am in some areas.

KPLC cited routine network work as the reason for the scheduled outages, invoking Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules as the legal basis for the interruptions.
