Bayern Munich reportedly stands to earn KSh 724.6 million for Nairobi’s Ajax friendly, as a court petition seeks answers on sponsorship and public spending.
German football giants Bayern Munich are set to pocket a staggering KSh 724 million for their trip to Nairobi, according to reports from authoritative German media sources, though neither the Kenyan government nor the clubs have officially confirmed the figure.
The number surfaced on October 31 when Bayern Munich news account @iMiaSanMia, citing German newspaper TZ, reported that Bayern would receive €5 million KSh 724.6 million for the Nairobi friendly. According to the report, head coach Vincent Kompany approved the trip, which was then coordinated by Marketing and Sales Director Rouven Kasper. The internal reaction at Bayern's Säbener Straße headquarters was telling: "For that kind of money, you have to do it."
