Eastleigh Building Collapse: Developer and Contractor Named

The collapsed Eastleigh high-rise has drawn scrutiny to 9th Street Plaza Limited, identified as the developer, and Stromax Holdings E.A Limited, listed as the contractor.

NAIROBI, Kenya – Fresh details have emerged about the companies linked to the multi-storey building that collapsed along 9th Street in Eastleigh, Nairobi, with NTV reporting that three individuals co-own the firm listed as the project’s developer.

According to NTV, 9th Street Plaza Limited was co-owned by Abdikadir Abdi Sheikh, Mohamed Khatar Ali Noor and Abdifatah Ali Noor.

The broadcaster also identified Stromax Holdings E.A Limited as the primary contractor, naming John Karuga Ng’ang’a as its director.

The disclosures add to scrutiny of the corporate entities and individuals associated with the ill-fated development as investigators seek to establish the circumstances that led to the collapse.
