Chelogoi was found guilty on five counts, in a case that had six counts in total.
The sentence was delivered by Magistrate Dolphina Alego, who directed that the sentences will run concurrently, meaning Chelogoi will serve a 3-year custodial sentence.
The case relates to fraudulent dealings over the high-value Lower Kabete land, valued at Ksh.1.3 billion. The prosecution had accused the former administrator of involvement in the fraudulent acquisition and disposal of the parcel.
Chelogoi, who served as Nairobi PC during the Moi-era, has been embroiled in the protracted land dispute for years.
The court did not impose a fine as an alternative to the custodial sentence.
