Detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with a murder and a separate stabbing incident reported in Lindi, Kibra, Nairobi County.
In a statement on Thursday, October 29, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the incidents occurred on October 23, leaving one man dead and another seriously injured in separate attacks as they made their way to work.
"The incidents, which occurred on the morning of October 23, 2026, left one man dead and another nursing serious stab wounds after separate encounters with assailants as they made their way to work," the statement read.
According to the DCI, in the first incident, 49-year-old Jacob Odhiambo Alube was fatally attacked by assailants who robbed him of his valuables, including his mobile phone.
When he attempted to resist the robbery, the attackers stabbed him in the chest and left thigh before fleeing the scene.
Police officers who responded to the incident found Alube dead at the scene, with evidence pointing to a struggle between him and his attackers.
