• Job Field Content, Editorial and Journalism , Media Production and Entertainment
• TrainingCred provides practical professional training for individuals and organisations. We are developing an e-learning library that combines expert-led teaching, workplace demonstrations, practical exercises and structured learning paths.
• We are looking for a Video Editor / Multimedia Producer to help turn our trainers’ expertise into clear, engaging and professionally produced digital learning experiences.
• You will work with trainers, instructional designers and our learning operations team to produce recorded courses, screen-based tutorials, practical demonstrations and supporting multimedia resources.
• Your work will span recording preparation, production support, video and audio editing, motion graphics, captions and final delivery for our learning platform.
• Educational content will be your primary focus, with course trailers and promotional edits as supporting responsibilities. Success in this role means producing content that helps learners understand a concept, follow a demonstration and apply what they have learned—not simply creating visually impressive videos.
• Transform trainer recordings, screen captures and approved teaching materials into polished lessons and coherent course series. Edit for clarity, accuracy and appropriate pacing, removing unnecessary repetition while preserving useful explanations and professional reasoning.
• Combine screen recordings, presenter footage, slides, voice-overs and supporting visuals in ways that strengthen the learning experience.
• Help trainers prepare for remote and in-person recording sessions. Provide practical guidance on microphone use, lighting, camera framing, screen setup, delivery and presentation.
• Conduct recording checks and identify issues early, including background noise, poor audio levels, unreadable screen content and distracting notifications. Support rehearsals and sample recordings before full production begins.
• Create clear titles, lower thirds, diagrams, annotations, callouts and simple motion graphics that support the teaching. Use zooms, highlights and visual emphasis to make important steps and information easier to follow.
• Apply TrainingCred’s visual identity consistently while avoiding effects or animation that distract from the lesson.
• Prepare and review captions, transcripts and on-screen text, checking technical terminology, spelling, timing and readability.
• Export videos in the formats and quality levels required by the learning platform. Balance visual clarity with file size and test playback, screen readability and audio consistency across relevant devices.
• Work with instructional designers and trainers to develop and approve representative sample lessons before batch production.
• Check each lesson for editing errors, missing segments, audio issues, caption inaccuracies and inconsistencies with approved materials. Flag subject-related concerns for expert review rather than changing technical meaning independently.
• Consolidate feedback, manage revisions and keep production stakeholders informed of progress and blockers.
• Maintain an organised library of raw recordings, editable project files, graphics, audio, captions and final exports. Follow agreed naming conventions, version-control practices and backup procedures.
• Prepare complete handover packages for publishing and retain editable files for future updates. Produce course thumbnails, previews and selected promotional clips from approved materials.
• Handle recordings and client information responsibly, using only approved assets and removing confidential or personal information from publishable content.
• At least three years of relevant video editing or multimedia production experience, or a portfolio demonstrating comparable capability. Experience with educational content, tutorials, software demonstrations or professional training is particularly relevant.
• Strong proficiency in a professional editing application, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro, supported by practical audio-editing, colour-correction and export skills.
• Ability to produce clear screen-led learning content, including combining recordings and slides, improving visual readability, creating annotations and maintaining continuity between lessons.
• Strong attention to detail and production organisation, including accurate captions, consistent visual standards, structured files and reliable management of feedback and deadlines.
• Clear communication and collaborative working skills, with the confidence to guide trainers, explain editing decisions and work constructively with subject experts and instructional designers.
• A relevant qualification in film production, multimedia, digital media, communication or a related field is welcome. Equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
• Experience with motion graphics tools such as After Effects, screen-recording software, learning management systems, multi-lesson course production, basic photography or studio recording would be an advantage.
