The overall purpose of this job is to provide quality nursing services and patient care to students and staff at Kingdom International Premier Schools (KIPS) in line with established protocols and quality management standards. The School Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of learners and staff, promoting a safe and healthy school environment aligned with the school's vision, mission, and core values.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHealth and SafetyPatient CareHealth Records and ConfidentialityCollaboration and CommunicationEmergency Preparedness and ResponseStock and Facility ManagementKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDDiploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid practicing license.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Experience in a school setup is an added advantage.Born-again Christian.COMPETENCIES (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL)Knowledge and ability to classify diseases.Ability to understand and address patient needs with empathy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well with medical professionals at all levels.Ability to work under pressure and for long hours when necessary.Strong decision-making and judgement skills.Time management and organizational skills.Basic counselling skills to support students’ well-being.Ability to prepare detailed health reports and maintain accurate records.
