Job Description: Business Development ExecutiveLocation: Dar Es SalamJob Purpose: Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our client, a major infrastructure and construction company currently executing large-scale earthworks and road construction projects in Tanzania, is seeking a qualified Business Development Executive.Based in Dar es Salaam, the successful candidate will drive business growth, expand our client base, and secure new commercial opportunities across the region.This position functions as a crucial commercial link between our project capabilities and external stakeholders, focusing on commercial outreach, corporate client acquisition, and maximizing contract opportunities in a fast-paced project environment.Key Responsibilities
• Prospect, qualify, and convert new B2B leads into active accounts through systematic cold calling, networking, and industry market analysis.
• Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential corporate accounts, conducting thorough needs analyses to offer tailored asset and service solutions.
• Conduct regular field visits, sales presentations, and product/service demonstrations to key decision-makers within the construction, infrastructure, and logistics sectors.
• Prepare accurate sales proposals and negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms effectively to secure high-value agreements.
• Work closely with operations, technical field teams, and upper management to ensure seamless project execution and maximum client satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of pipeline activities, client feedback, and market trends, submitting daily and weekly sales performance reports.
• Meet and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas set by executive management.
Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably within companies dealing in heavy machinery rental, scaffolding, infrastructure services, or general industrial logistics.
• Professional fluency in both English and Swahili (written and verbal) is strictly required to navigate corporate proposals and interface effectively with local clients.
• Proven track record of B2B sales execution, managing target-driven milestones, and translating complex operational benefits to clients.
• Strong negotiation skills, exceptional communication abilities, active listening, and a self-motivated approach to business development.
