A well-established specialist clinic in Nairobi seeks a warm, articulate and highly organised Customer Care Executive. You will be the voice of the clinic: the first person our patients speak to and the person who keeps every booking, message and record in order.
Key responsibilities
• Answer and handle patient calls professionally and courteously
• Book clinic appointments, confirm them with patients, and follow up on missed appointments
• Take and relay messages accurately and promptly to the doctor and the team
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records of appointments, calls, messages and patient contacts
• Coordinate the doctor's hospital schedule and procedure bookings
• Assist with insurance pre-authorisations
• Support the clinic's social media and compile routine clinic reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements
• Diploma or degree in Customer Service, Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field
• At least three years' experience in a customer care, front office or call-handling role, preferably in healthcare
• An excellent telephone manner, with clear, confident spoken English (Kiswahili an advantage)
• Strong record-keeping and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace
Advantageous
• Experience in a hospital, clinic or medical front office
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance pre-authorisation
• Experience with appointment-booking or practice management software
You are
Calm and pleasant on the phone even when it's busy; meticulous with details and records; reliable and self-driven; discreet with confidential patient information; and a team player.
Terms
• Salary: KES 65,000 gross per month
• Employment: Full-time
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
• Reports to: Clinic Administrator
