With funding from the Unites States (US) Department of State, the Abt Global Central Mechanism supports malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service delivery in 14 partner countries, with the goal of improving health outcomes for target populations while strengthening the planning, data management, and implementation capacity of host-country governments and local institutions. The project sustains uninterrupted malaria vector control interventions, including insecticide-treated net (ITN) distribution, indoor residual spraying (IRS), and spatial emanators (SEs), as well as HIV prevention, testing, and treatment services. Across partner countries, the project identifies opportunities to align and transition vector control data collection to national Health Management Information System (HMIS)/DHIS2 platforms. It also strengthens HIV laboratory referral and quality management systems and supports entomological and insecticide-resistance surveillance, including monitoring for Anopheles stephensi, in priority countries. In collaboration with government counterparts, the project identifies functions for transition and provides support to advance government memorandum of understanding (MOU) objectivesIn close collaboration with the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), and the county governments of Busia and Siaya, Abt Global Central Mechanism seeks to recruit professionals in different fields to support in implementation of Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) in all the eight sub-counties in Busia County namely; Bunyala, Butula, Matayos, Nambale, Samia, Teso North, Teso Central and Teso South; and all six sub-counties in Siaya county namely; Alego Usonga, Bondo, Gem, Rarieda, Ugenya and Ugunja.Supervisor: Warehouse ManagerLocation: Siaya and Busia counties, KenyaNo. Required: 65 (30 Siaya and 35 Busia)Overall, Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the storekeeper ensures efficient management of IRS items by receiving, verification, storage, labeling and tracking of IRS commodities delivered to their respective stores from the Central Warehouse. They are responsible for ensuring all stores’ inventory management tools are updated as necessary and appropriately.
