• The Logbook Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya.
• This role involves originating and processing logbook loan applications, including initial client assessment, document verification, and data entry into lending systems.
• The Logbook Loan Officer will evaluate vehicle and client information, support underwriting decisions, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Daily tasks include explaining loan products and terms, responding to customer inquiries, managing follow-ups, and maintaining accurate records throughout the loan lifecycle.
• The role also requires collaboration with branch staff to achieve portfolio growth targets, minimize risk, and deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
• Experience in loan operations and lending environments, including Loan Officer responsibilities and Loan Origination.
• Solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to consumer and asset-based lending.
• Background in Underwriting, including basic credit assessment and risk evaluation.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle queries, and manage client relationships.
• Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and loan management systems.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and ability to work with set targets and deadlines.
• Previous microfinance or banking experience in Kenya, especially with logbook or asset-backed loans, is an added advantage.
