• This is a fixed term contract for 2 years. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the country that they are based in at the time of applying, and for the full duration of the two-year contract.
• Develop and implement social media strategies, plans and approaches, translating communications strategies and plans into effective social media activity that supports external engagement and organisational goals.
• Develop and deliver tailored social media plans, calendars, scheduling, and content (copy/visuals) aligned to organisational brand, messaging, moments, key audiences, and priorities.
• Contribute to regular audience mapping and analysis with colleagues across external engagement, feeding in insights from social media performance, trends, and opportunities.
• Work closely with the Senior Digital Communications Officer to ensure aligned digital journeys for key audiences based on channel insights and performance.
• Monitor and evaluate social media performance, using data, audience insight and trends to continuously improve audience engagement and inform adaptation of social media approaches.
• Manage day-to-day social media activity independently, proactively monitoring key audiences and identifying and acting on emerging opportunities within agreed priorities and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Works proactively with colleagues across teams to integrate timely and strategic social media approaches in planning for key moments, campaigns, launches, and other activities.
• Work collaboratively with media and communications colleagues to identify and respond to relevant breaking news, emerging opportunities, and organisational priorities through timely social media activity, using judgement to determine appropriate approaches and escalating where required.
• Produce engaging, high-quality multimedia content, communications materials and collateral, including graphics, videos, photography and other communications assets that support organisational priorities, publications, and influencing moments.
• Develop creative concepts and narrative approaches for content that translate organisational priorities into compelling content across digital channels, publications, campaigns and influencing moments.
• Apply editorial judgement to ensure all multimedia content is accurate, inclusive, accessible and aligned with organisational messaging, visual brand identity, and ethical storytelling principles.
• Work collaboratively with communications colleagues to develop approaches that strengthen written content, media opportunities, publications and other communications outputs through multimedia storytelling.
• Identify and maintain a bank of independent creative suppliers and partners, including designers, illustrators, photographers, videographers and other content producers, coordinating commissioning, contracting and delivery within agreed projects and budgets.
• Ensure visual consistency and adherence to brand standards across communications outputs and provide visual guidance and support to colleagues across the Communications Team and wider organisation where appropriate.
• Work closely and collaboratively with other communications team colleagues to deliver integrated communications.
• Work collaboratively as part of cross-functional project teams, partnering with colleagues across the organisation to support the development of communications plans, approaches, and content gathering aligned to organisational priorities.
• Support report design and visual presentation of organisational materials.
• Support the maintenance of communications assets, content libraries, and editorial resources to support efficient content production and knowledge management.
