Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts
Yego Mobility Limited
Accounting, Auditing & Finance
Job summary
We’re growing, and you’ll help shape how we manage the money behind the movement. Own the books, keep cash flow in view, and turn the numbers into decisions that help the business move forward.
Job descriptions & requirements
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Directors and CEO
About the Role
We’re growing, and you’ll help shape how we manage the money behind the movement. Own the books, keep cash flow in view, and turn the numbers into decisions that help the business move forward.
Expect start-up energy, hands-on responsibility, and room to make things work better. You’ll work closely with decision-makers, bring your ideas to the table, and see them put into practice. Initiative matters. So does knowing when to ask, “Hang on, does that add up?”
What You’ll Take Charge Of
● Zoho Books, reconciliations, and timely month-end accounts.
● Petty cash, payment controls, budgets, and expenditure tracking.
● Daily cash visibility, reconciliations, and rolling cash-flow forecasts.
● Corporate invoicing, customer statements, and collections.
● Ledgers, trial balance, and profit and loss (P&L) reporting.
● Tax and statutory compliance, including submissions through iTax and other relevant government portals.
● Coordination with KRA, external accountants and auditors, banks, customers, and colleagues.
What You’ll Bring
● At least five years of relevant experience.
● A completed CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
● Strong Excel skills and practical experience with Kenyan tax and statutory compliance.
● Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Zoho Books is preferred.
● A sense of ownership, professional follow-through, and the confidence to question an entry even when the spreadsheet looks perfectly respectable.
Before You Send Your CV…
Your calculator has resigned.
It has spent years in an imaginary finance office and is finally handing in its notice.
Write its resignation note in 80 words or fewer, including:
● One office habit it will miss.
● One habit it definitely won’t.
● One piece of advice for its replacement.
Then give us a six-word headline describing how you work.
Spend no more than five minutes on the challenge. Dry humour, warmth, or a straight face are all welcome. There is no correct answer, and no design or video is needed.
How to Apply
Complete the challenge first, then submit it together with your CV privately via Jobs@yego.sg by 19 October 2026.
