Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating pharmacy study protocols, assisting with data collection and documentation, and ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. The role involves working closely with clinical and research teams to manage study medications, maintain accurate records, and support inventory control and dispensing processes linked to the studies. Pharmacy Study Officers will engage with participants, provide clear information about study procedures, and help monitor medication use and outcomes. The position requires reliable collaboration with supervisors, timely reporting, and active participation in quality assurance and safety initiatives.Qualifications
• Formal training in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences (diploma or degree) and eligibility to practice under relevant national regulations.
• Experience in clinical research, health programs, or study coordination within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Strong skills in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping for study-related information and medication logs.
• Ability to follow research protocols, standard operating procedures, and ethical guidelines with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with study participants.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet study timelines.
• Comfort working on-site in Turkwel and willingness to adapt to local conditions and community needs.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and electronic data capture tools).
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of the role.
• Prior experience in rural or resource-limited settings is an advantage but not required.
