Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating volunteers to support company and community initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include organizing volunteer schedules, maintaining accurate volunteer records, and ensuring volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities. The Coordinator will design and deliver volunteer training programs, provide ongoing guidance and support, and facilitate effective communication between volunteers, staff, and external partners. The role also involves planning and executing community outreach activities, monitoring volunteer engagement and performance, and preparing regular reports on volunteer activities and impact.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in Volunteer Management and coordination of volunteer programs.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities for working with diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders.
• Background in Volunteer Training, including designing and delivering orientation and skills-building sessions.
• Experience in Community Outreach, partnership building, and organizing community-focused activities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Ability to work on-site in Nairobi and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and digital communication tools.
• Diploma or degree in social sciences, community development, human resources, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in non-profit, community service, or corporate social responsibility initiatives is beneficial.
