• Work with Finance, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Theatre, Nursing and other departments.
• Prepare monthly reports covering procurement expenditure, savings, stock-outs, supplier performance and outstanding orders.
• Supervise and develop the Procurement Assistant.
• Maintain professional, respectful and responsive relationships with staff and suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant procurement and supply-chain experience.
• Demonstrable experience in a hospital, pharmacy, laboratory, medical supplier or another regulated healthcare environment.
• Active KISM membership or eligibility for professional registration.
• Good knowledge of procurement controls, inventory management and FEFO principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement, ERP or inventory-management systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication and record-management skills.
• High integrity and ability to work independently.
• CPSP-K, CIPS or another recognised procurement qualification.
• Experience supervising procurement staff.
• Evidence of delivering measurable savings, reducing stock-outs or improving supplier performance.
