Kenya Power has announced a planned electricity interruption in parts of Nairobi on Monday.
In a notice on Sunday, October 25, the company said the outages are meant to facilitate maintenance works.
According to the utility company, the interruption would affect part of Spring Valley Road from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This comes weeks after Kenya Power warned customers and members of the public against engaging with its customer care account on X after the account was reportedly compromised.
In a notice on Saturday, October 3, the company said its customer care account, @KenyaPower_Care, had been accessed without authorisation, prompting it to begin efforts to recover control of the account.
"Our customer care account on X, @KenyaPower_Care has experienced unauthorised access and the recovery process is currently underway," the notice read.
Kenya Power cautioned customers against interacting with posts appearing on the compromised account as the company works to restore secure access.
