Several people are feared dead and others injured following a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway at Kanga area, past Mtito Andei, on Sunday morning.

Those injured were rushed to Mtito Andei Sub-County Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

The bodies of those who died in the crash were also taken to the hospital's mortuary.

The exact number of people who died in the accident is yet to be confirmed, while the circumstances that led to the head-on collision remain unknown.
