Kenyan journalist and Communications Manager Peris Saleh has died allegedly at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after suffering serious health complications following a C-section, leaving her family, colleagues and the broader media community in grief.

Saleh, who served at the Kenya Rural Media Association (AGJK), was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after her condition reportedly worsened in the days following childbirth. She did not survive her stay in the ICU.

The news of her passing broke on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, after it was shared on Facebook, describing her death as a shock to all who knew her.
