KPLC Announces Power Cuts in 2 Counties on Friday

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in parts of Nairobi and Meru counties on Friday.

In a notice on Thursday, October 15, the company said the planned power cuts will affect customers in Pangani, Nairobi County, and Mikumbune and Ntemwene areas in Meru County.

In Nairobi County, the interruption will affect part of Pangani from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The affected areas include Forest Road, Chai Road, Agoi Road and Pamba Road, as well as adjacent customers.

In Meru County, the power outage will affect Mikumbune and Ntemwene from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The affected areas and facilities include Mikumbune Market, Gaatia Market, Kandigi Coffee Factory, Macikine Secondary School, Kiorone, National Oil, Ntemwene, Kagwampungu, Kabyoo and Kieru Coffee Factory, alongside adjacent customers.

Elsewhere, Kenya Power has warned customers and members of the public against engaging with its customer care account on X after the account was reportedly compromised.
