Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced system maintenance across eight counties on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, lasting up to eight hours in some areas.

The utility said the outages are in line with the Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules that allows periodic interruptions to enhance maintenance and upgrades, new connections, and replace power lines during important infrastructural development like road construction.

Residents and businenesses in the affected regions were urged to plan in advance to avoid inconvenience and remain productive throughout the period.
