The airline says it is working with health authorities to identify possible contacts

Jambojet has moved to trace passengers and crew members who may have come into contact with Kenya’s first confirmed Ebola patient.

The airline said the passenger travelled on flight JM 8523 from Entebbe to Nairobi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

“Jambojet is aware of reports concerning a guest who travelled on Saturday 3rd October on flight JM 8523 from Entebbe to Nairobi,” the airline said in a holding statement on Tuesday.

The airline said it was working closely with the Ministry of Health, Port Health Services and other relevant authorities to support the ongoing public health response.

This includes the identification and management of other guests and crew who may have been in contact with the individual.

“The health and safety of our guests, crew and staff remains our highest priority,” Jambojet said.

The airline said it would continue to provide updates as they became available.
