Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has indicated he is prepared to leave Governor Johnson Sakaja's administration to contest the 2027 Nairobi governorship, contingent on endorsements from two senior political figures.
Speaking via the X social network Tuesday, October 6, Mosiria said former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, whom he describes often as his mentor and the National Economic Development Party (NEDP) leader, has assigned him a specific task ahead of any formal declaration of candidacy.
