Babu Owino dismisses Mosiria's claim of having secret wife, abandoning child

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has dismissed claims by former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria that he has a second wife and their child, both of whom he has allegedly abandoned and are living in squalor.

Owino identified Fridah Muthoni Ongili as his one and only wife and challenged Mosiria to publicly identify the woman and child in question.

“My wife is not worried about that because she knows me; she knows the person she got married to. I’m married to Fridah Muthoni Ongili, that is my wife. Any other wife that I’m being given by Mosiria, I want that wife to be brought out in public,” he said.

Owino said his upbringing had shaped his views on parental responsibility, recalling that he was raised by a single mother following his father’s death when he was in Class Three.
