The engagement focused on systems examinations, corruption risk assessments and monitoring high-impact government projects, approaches intended to help public institutions identify weaknesses before they create opportunities for corruption.

Led by Dr Joseph John Kabeiyia, Assistant Director of Research, the PCCB delegation engaged EACC officials on preventive strategies and institutional controls that can strengthen oversight and accountability.

The discussions come amid broader efforts by the commission to reinforce public confidence in institutions by addressing corruption both before public resources are lost and through efforts to recover assets linked to wrongdoing.
