Farmers across Africa need affordable digital services to help them adapt to changing weather, access markets and obtain suitable financial products, agricultural stakeholders have said.
The call was made during the 10th AgriFin Learning Event held in Nairobi on Tuesday, October 27, where policymakers, financial institutions, technology providers, development partners and farmer representatives discussed ways to improve digital services for smallholder farmers.
Participants said agricultural technology should address practical farming challenges and remain accessible even after donor-funded projects come to an end.
