   Roysambu gives decent value for people working along Thika Road, plenty of transport and many options. Water can be an issue in some buildings, so always ask how many days a week water flows and whether there is a borehole or tank.

   Umoja and Embakasi are good if you work in town or Industrial Area and want more space for the money. Check security at night and walk around the building before paying anything. Some courts are very good, others not.

   For families, Kasarani and Ruaka have newer apartments with parking and space for kids, but the commute can be long. Visit at 6:30am and 6pm to see the real traffic before you sign. What looks close on the map can be an hour away.
