Do not give the caller or visitor your PIN, password, or one-time code, and do not pay an unverified person. Independently contact Kenya Power through its published official channels to verify the claim. If someone is physically present and you feel unsafe, prioritise your safety and contact the appropriate authorities. Preserve numbers, messages, payment details, and other evidence.

Stop and verify. Genuine utility staff will not demand immediate payment to a personal number, and they will not ask you to share your PIN or a one-time code.

Contact Kenya Power yourself using the official numbers or website, not the number the caller gave you, and ask whether the claim is true.
