Role Overview
• We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and flexible finance professional to join our Finance Team on a 3-month contract. You will work full-time from our Nairobi office and take ownership of day-to-day finance operations in a fast-paced creative agency. Priorities shift quickly in our environment, so we need someone who adapts easily, picks up new tasks without fuss, and stays dependable when campaign deadlines, month-end and client demand collide. This role suits a qualifying candidate who can start quickly and contribute from week one.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, client billing, statements of account, payment follow-ups and collections.
• Support accounts payable processes, including supplier payment preparation and tracking.
• Perform bank, vendor and customer account reconciliations and maintain proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules and analyses.
• Support budgeting and costing for client activations, events and internal projects.
• Support compliance documentation for Kenyan taxes (VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, eTIMS).
• Use Excel/Google Sheets and ERP systems to record transactions, organize data and support reporting.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to resolve finance queries promptly.
• Flex across finance tasks as workload demands, including covering urgent requests during month-end, campaign peaks and event periods.
• Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and presentations as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Upper Division).
• Minimum grade of B+ and above in Mathematics.
• CPA Part 2 passed at minimum (candidates with higher CPA sections are encouraged to apply).
• Hands-on experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations and basic financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) is a must.
• Working knowledge of Kenyan tax concepts (VAT, PAYE, WHT) and eTIMS.
• Flexible and adaptable: comfortable switching between tasks and priorities, and willing to adjust working hours when business needs require (e.g. month-end or event deadlines).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and integrity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional client follow-up.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, meet deadlines and work as part of a team.
• Ability to start immediately is an added advantage.
What We Offer
• A full-time, 3-month contract in a fast-paced and exciting agency environment.
• Practical exposure to finance operations in the media, events and experiential marketing industry.
• Hands-on involvement in large-scale campaigns and activations.
• A supportive and collaborative work culture.
