Nairobi - Governor Johnson Sakaja formally joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), repositioning himself politically within a party that commands considerable influence in the county's legislative chamber.
The move follows a public show of confidence from the later ODM leader Raila Odinga, who in February 2025 encouraged Sakaja to maintain Nairobi's political stability and keep working, even though the two were in different parties at the time.
